Genomics & Informatics Lab (GIL) is excited to launch a new hands-on Multi-Omics Training Program. This 12-module online course is designed for learners at all levels, guiding them from basic sequence analysis to advanced AI-driven data interpretation.

Module-1: Sequence Analysis — A Hands-On Exploration of Multi‑Omics

A focused hands-on module for working with DNA, RNA, and protein sequence data.

Learning Objectives

1. Introduce key biological sequence types and file formats.

2. Build skills in retrieving, processing, and aligning DNA, RNA, and protein sequences.

3. Enable learners to use Linux and Python/R tools for basic sequence analysis and SNP detection.

Learning Outcomes

1. Search databases, extract sequences, and convert file formats.

2. Align sequences, detect SNPs, and build simple phylogenetic trees.

3. Manage sequence data using Linux and essential bioinformatics tools.
